I have two friends, namely A and B. I treasure both friends equally maybe A a little more since I know A longer :) However, I just realised that A and B do not get along well maybe that is due to B's sharp tongue and that shortcoming of B has indeed irritated so many people around B, including some of my other friends and B's friends. I empathise A's negative feelings towards B. But it is very difficult for me to explain to A that B is not as bad as B sounds because that will sound like I'm fending for B - a misunderstanding which I seriously hope will not happen. All along I did not know that the grudge A has for B has been so deep, and I made many mistakes such as eating lunch together. Now that I know, I feel so stupid and inconsiderate for making this idiotic and sooo avoidable mistake. B gets agitated and angry easily, B also has such sharp tongue - it will be quite difficult for people to get near B and chat with B without feeling a little offended. But if anyone who knows B personally and able to understand the fact that B is just sharp in B's words will understand that B is actually a nice person. I don't know how to clear the misperception most of the people have for B and I don't know how to tell B that B seriously have to change B's shortcoming if not B will only gain foes and not friends. So, should I continue acting ignorant, pretending that I know nothing? Or should I clear the awkward feeling A has for B - taking into account the fact that A might be angry with me for siding B in this case? Dang, I should stop thinking and cracking my brain for now. I think I'll know the answer when the situation pops up again - hope not. There is a chinese saying 船到桥头自然直 |
